Bellator MMA will host two events in two consecutive nights for the first time in its history on Dec. 2 and 3 in Thackerville, Okla. Bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas will be defending his belt on the first night against Joe Warren.
MMA Fighting confirmed the news with Bellator officials following a report by The Dallas Morning News. Both Bellator 166 and Bellator 167 will take place at the WinStar World Casino.
Warren (14-5) is the only fighter to ever beat Dantas (18-4) under the Bellator banner, taking his belt via unanimous decision two years ago today. Warren eventually lost the title to Marcos Galvao, and Dantas recaptured it with a win over his former teammate earlier this year.
On Saturday night, Bellator 167 will feature a featherweight clash between Pat Curran and John Teixeira in the main event.
Curran (22-7), a former Bellator 145-pound champion, looks for his third straight victory after beating Emmanuel Sanchez and Georgi Karakhanyan via decision. Teixeira (20-1-2) enters the biggest fight of his career after scoring three straight wins inside the Bellator cage.
