"The Caveman" is coming home.
David Rickels will meet Bobby Cooper at Bellator 150 on Feb. 26 in Mulvane, Kan., the promotion announced Wednesday. Rickels, a native of Derby, Kan., was scheduled to be on the card, but his opponent was not known until now.
Rickels (16-4) is one of the top lightweights in Bellator. He's coming off a second-round TKO loss to Michael Chandler in November, but would have had two straight wins if not for an illegal knee no contest against John Alessio last June. Rickels, 27, only has losses to Chandler and Patricky Freire since 2012.
Cooper (12-5) is coming off a win over Pablo Villaseca in June. Overall, he has won three of his last five fights. Cooper, a Missouri native, has fought for Bellator, Titan FC and RFA.
Bellator 150 is headlined by a bantamweight title fight between champion Marcos Galvao and Eduardo Dantas. Also on the card, Cheick Kongo returns to face Augusto Sakai.
