There's quite a bit to get to. For starters, I'm back from San Jose after the first Bellator 142: Dynamite show and reviews of the event have been generally good, but somewhat mixed. Most interestingly, however, is that the ratings were very, very mediocre, the worst for any tent pole event ever. Competition that night for viewers was fierce, but that has to be considered a disappointment by the folks at Bellator and Spike. It doesn't suggest the Dynamite idea can't work, but moving forward, they need to be careful moving forward with respect to who they use and what night they air.

Then there's the report from Josh Gross and Deadspin that alleges the UFC may have known Vitor Belfort was essentially abusing testosterone replacement therapy, didn't tell Jon Jones prior to UFC 152 and let the main event take place, anyway. We have to be careful and responsible here because the UFC has not issued their side of the story, but this is a topic very worthy of discussion.

And the event train rolls on as well. Bellator is right back at it on Friday with Bellator 143, a fun card with some interesting names on it. UFC Fight Night 75 sees the UFC return to Japan with Josh Barnett vs. Roy Nelson as the headliner.
