At the post-fight press conference at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, following the unanimous decision victory over "Minotouro", Rua told the media he was down to give Quinton Jackson a rematch.
Shogun I'm ready..— Quinton Jackson (@Rampage4real) 2 agosto 2015
"Rampage called me out a few days ago on Instagram, and I accept the challenge," "Shogun" said. "If the UFC authorizes it, I’ll fight him any time, any day he wants."
Rua defeated Jackson the first time in 2005, knocking him out in the first round of PRIDE’s middleweight tournament. "Shogun" ended up winning the tournament with wins over "Minotouro" Nogueira, Alistair Overeem and Ricardo Arona.
