There isn't a MMA event this weekend (sweet, merciful Jesus), but there's still lots going on in the mixed martial arts world. For starters, we now know Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor will meet at UFC 194 in December in Las Vegas. No stadium show as was hinted at, but that shouldn't be too surprising. When UFC wants to do a stadium show, they go all in. That they hinted at it as a possibility signaled from the beginning it wasn't a serious option. Oh, and McGregor opened as a 2-to-1 betting favorite over the long-time champ in Aldo.

Then there's the ongoing saga of when Ronda Rousey will defend her title against Cris Justino (which is bizarre, since defending the title against her is the least meaningful obstacle, but OK). We know it won't be on the UFC 194 fight card and Rousey is likely to compete against January. Miesha Tate is ostensibly next, but there's always this possibility Cyborg could jump the queue.

In other news and notes, Josh Thomson signed with Bellator, Metamoris is holding a surprise event on Friday night, EBI 4 is this weekend, Anderson Silva's Nevada Athletic Commission hearing is coming up and much more.
