RIO DE JANEIRO -- Ronda Rousey’s mother, AnnMarie De Mars wants the UFC bantamweight champion to make quick work of Bethe Correia on Saturday night, and the same sentiment comes from her opponent’s mother, Tiana Correia.

The undefeated contender spoke with the media during the UFC 190 media day on Thursday, and revealed that her mother also asked her to finish the fight in seconds.

"My mother told me the same thing. ‘Please, finish this fight in 10 seconds. Knock her out, break her jaw’," Correia told the media. "It’s a mom thing. No mom wants to see a daughter get beat up, get hurt, and Ronda’s mom thinks about it. It’s easier to go for a takedown and lock an armbar, you don’t get hurt. My mom wants me to go there, throw the first punch, Ronda goes down, and I go back to her arms. It’s normal."

The majority of the fans that watched Thursday’s open workouts at Barra da Tijuca beach were rooting for Rousey, and Correia is not upset about it.

"I’m not angry at the Brazilian people," she said. "They have the right to choose who they are rooting for, but I know they will be happy when I become champion. Brazil deserves a champion. It’s normal that they are rooting for the American hero. Ronda has this image of being a hero, and Brazil attaches to that. I’m not mad."

Rousey vs. Correia takes place Saturday at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and airs live on pay-per-view.
