Shame on you, WSOF.

At WSOF 17, they paid a fighter $750. For some fighters, that wouldn't cover air fair. It wouldn't cover a camp. It wouldn't even cover a disney trip for a family of four, most likely. As I am yet to see a payout for WSOF 21, I can only speculate that not much has changed. The fighter that received $750 is Jamie Point, who I can only imagine is a local fighter who got on the card. That being said, if he wasn't, then I feel even more sorry for him. Other than Jake Shields and Brain Foster, nobody broke $8,000 in promotional payout. I also feel sorry for them. Do you want to know why I feel sorry for them and why I'm publicly shaming WSOF. I'll tell you. You have fighters that you won't even pay over $1000, but you can afford Fedor? Are you even listening to Yourself? Are you serious? Thats not even a decent months salary, but you can tell the world you can afford the consensus greatest heavyweight fighter of all time. I get World Series of Fighting isn't as big as the UFC or bellator yet and I do recognize some of the talent they have, as this is not to take away from the fighter's abilities or accomplishments, but it's almost impossible to think that a promotion that is a little bigger than companies like RFA and Titan Fighting Championships is throwing out a statement like that. I do realize that we are yet to see any offers or figures go public, but if they can afford to field an offer to a GOAT and I were an under card fighter signed to a promotion that has a deal with NBC sports, I would feel cheated. Pay your guys and grow your promotion before you snub up and coming fighters so you can try to seduce Fedor. He very well could, at the very least, earn $250,000 just to show (just a guess, but look to dana's offer to him when Brock Lesner was still kicking). That's a number thats larger than some of their viewers for their cards, but they can flaunt most likely false bravado and brag to everyone that they can afford him. So, all that being said, Shame on you, WSOF. Seriously. And one more thing (completely unrelated). STOP ASKING FOR A TITLE SHOT, HENDRICKS.
