Save for a two-fight comeback in 2012, we haven't seen much of Mike Swick in recent years.
And while the TUF 1 standout is well-liked in the business, his return fight on Saturday night unfortunately looked like he might be better off staying out of the Octagon.
Swick was on the wrong end of a one-sided loss on Saturday night at UFC 189, as he was dominated by Tristar's Alex Garcia. The judges at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena gave Garcia a pair of 30-27s and a 29-28 for the unanimous decision victory.
There's not much to say about this fight. Garcia thoroughly outwrestled and outgrappled Swick and flustered Swick's attempts to get his offense untracked. At the same time, Garcia also never came close to finishing the fight.
Swick (15-6) has dropped two in a row and four of his past five fights. Garcia improved to 13-2.
