UFC champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk signs with Reebok

Team Reebok just got a little more golden. UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk inked a personalized deal with the UFC's exclusive uniform partner this week, joining the likes of Ronda Rousey, Conor McGregor, and Paige VanZant among others as the only fighters on the UFC roster to score a Reebok endorsement separate from the mandatory sponsorship program that rolls out on July 6.

Jedrzejczyk, 27, is quickly becoming one of the breakout stars of the UFC, cutting endearing interviews and backing them up with exceedingly violent performances in the cage. She captured the UFC strawweight title with a lopsided second-round TKO over Carla Esparza at UFC 185, then recently defended it with an even more brutal beating of Jessica Penne this past weekend.

"Reebok has consistently shown that fitness is truly demanding," Jędrzejczyk said in a statement. "I am pleased that together we can inspire women in Poland to train as fighters. I believe a training plan that involves MMA techniques is a sure way to being fit."

A Polish native, Jedrzejczyk (11-0) is one of the most decorated strikers to fight in either of the UFC's women's divisions. She's a six-time Muay Thai champion with over 70 fights to her name and is a pupil of legendary kickboxer Ernesto Hoost.

Jedrzejczyk carries an undefeated 4-0 record inside the UFC, including victories over Juliana Lima and a narrow decision over potential number-one contender Claudia Gadelha. Her striking has translated beautifully to the cage, as her two championship fights were won by a combined 179-29 edge in regards to significant strikes landed.

Jedrzejczyk is soon expected to undergo surgery to repair the broken thumb she suffered against Penne. The injury will likely keep her out of action until the fall, though she admitted the break will be a welcome one after fighting three times in the last seven months.

When she does return, Jedrzejczyk will likely fight the winner of UFC 190's upcoming bout between Gadelha and former WSOF champion Jessica Aguilar.
