Round 1: Rodriguez is switching stances and throwing wild, crazy kicks. He throws a jumping switch knee and Rosa catches a single leg off of it. Right away, though, Rodriguez connects on a triangle. It's pretty locked up, but somehow Rosa is hanging on and fighting it. Rosa escapes and nearly passes guard, but he's back in Rodriguez's guard before the Mexican goes to his base. Rodriguez is able to stand, but Rosa is all over him and throws him behind himself. Rosa's back in Rodriguez's guard. Out of nowhere, Rosa goes for a knee bar on a pass, but it doesn't work. A jab from Rodriguez knocks out Rosa's mouthpiece.

Round 2: Leg kick drops Rosa while off balancing him, but he hops back to his feet. Rosa is trying to bull forward to clinch and Rodriguez is stuffing everything by moving out of the way. Rosa dives on a single and it goes nowhere. Hard body kick by the Mexican. Rosa is on a deep shot from double to a single and can't get it. Rodriguez spins and they clinch, only for Rosa to fail on a throw, pulling Rodriguez into mount. Still, Rodriguez steps away. Rosa is all over him, though, and trying to take him down against the fence. The fight is temporarily halted to see Rosa's cut, but the fight resumes. Rosa chases down another takedown after a series of punches, but can't get it. Rosa dives for a leg lock, but abandons it. Rosa scores a takedown late, but gets reversed into mount.

Round 3: Rosa is able to secure a takedown in the first minute of the round, but he's working from Rodriguez's guard. He's stacking the Mexican, but so far can't turn it into much. Rosa gets sloppy and Rodriguez secures another triangle. Rosa slams his way out of, however. Rodriguez goes to his base after a pass and Rosa hunts for a choke, but Rodriguez has good defense. In a scramble, Rodriguez is able to stand and get away. Rosa gets a single and passes to side control immediately. Rodriguez is able to recover guard, but he's getting pounded here. Rosa lands a hard elbow before the final bell.
