Melvin Guillard has found a new home.

Four days after being granted a release from World Series of Fighting, "The Young Assassin" has inked a multi-year, multi-fight contract with Bellator, the promotion announced on Monday.

A debut date and opponent for Guillard have yet to be announced.

"We are excited to have Melvin coming onboard," Bellator president Scott Coker stated in a release. "With competitors the likes of lightweight champion Will Brooks, Michael Chandler, Marcin Held, Derek Anderson, Saad Awad, Dave Jansen and Patricky Pitbull on the roster already, the matchup possibilities for an exciting fighter like him are endless."

Guillard (32-14-2, 2 no-contests) signed with WSOF in 2014, following a 22-fight career in the UFC, but failed to make weight in both of his fights against Gesias Cavalcante, when he scored a TKO win, and lightweight champion Justin Gaethje, when he lost via decision. Under the UFC banner, Guillard finished the likes of Dennis Siver, Evan Dunham and Mac Danzig.
