UFC 187 live blog: Travis Browne vs. Andrei Arlovski

This is the UFC 187 live blog for Travis Browne vs. Andrei Arlovski, a heavyweight bout at Saturday night's UFC event at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Browne, who has won four of his past five fights, will face Arlovski, who also has won four of his past five fights, on the main card.

Round 1: Mark Smith is the referee in charge. Both fighters stand orthodox. Browne scores first with a left and right to the body. However, Browne gets rocked trying to duck and eats a punch. Arlovski tries to follow up with a flurry, but Browne seems to have survived. Left hook catches Arlovski. Browne gets rocked again an exchange and now he's being picked apart. Browne somehow survives again and lands an outside leg kick. At some point a melee ensues that is beyond description. Browne is rocked badly again and in another attempt to follow-up actually eats a shot and he goes down! Browne tries to swarm him, but falls off because he's still rocked! Arlovski gets back to his feet and tags Browne with two hard rights that eventually forces a stoppage. One of the craziest fights I've ever seen.
