UFC on FOX 16 just got a little filthy.
"Filthy" Tom Lawlor returns to the Octagon after a two-year absence on July 25th, where he'll meet Gian Villante in a light heavyweight bout.
The fight was announced Thursday on UFC Tonight.
Lawlor (9-5, 1 NC) last appeared at UFC on Fuel 9 in April, 2013, where he submitted Michael Kuiper via second-round submission. The 31-year-old Providence native has won two of his past three fights. This marks his light heavyweight return after fighting at middleweight since 2009.
Villante (13-5), meanwhile, is on the hottest stretch of his UFC career, as he's won two straight and three of his past four. He knocked out Corey Anderson in the third round of their UFC on FOX 15 bout earlier this month, giving him two straight Fight of the Night performances.
