Morning Report: Ronda Rousey hints at return to Wrestlemania 32 to tag team with Dwayne Johnson

twitter.com/wwe

While Luke Thomas and I were busy praying to Crom for revenge, UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey was 'wrestling' on WWE's grandest stage.

Sunday night, Rousey appeared alongside her 'Furious 7' co-star and former WWE superstar Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson at Wrestlemania 31 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

Rousey and Johnson also share the same agent, Brad Slater of William Morris Endeavor. According to Slater, Rousey's appearance had not only been cleared with UFC president Dana White, but had been in the works for months.

Rousey was apparently well received, so the inevitable talk of when she'd be returning to the ring picked up Monday when she alluded she was just getting started.

Hours later, Rousey tweeted out an article hinting that she could return for next year's Wrestlemania 32 in Dallas, Texas, citing MMA Fighting's own Dave Meltzer.

"To further the rumors along, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that there could be something in the works for Wrestlemania 32 next year in Dallas. This would see Rousey and The Rock form a tag team and basically take over the world - because how could the not?"

Additionally, Meltzer believes Rousey and Johnson would face 'Triple H' and his wife Stephanie McMahon, the daughter of Vince. Admitting he's not sure whether or not the match actually happens, Meltzer says 'it makes sense' and that 'it will be huge.'

Rousey defends her title to Bethe Correia at UFC 190 on Aug. 1 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
