UFC announces upcoming summer dates in San Diego and Nashville

Esther Lin, MMA Fighting

A pair of fight cards were announced during the UFC 185 prelims on FX. And the cities the Octagon is headed to are familiar.

The UFC will make its third visit to San Diego, California on July 16, and also host a show in Nashville, Tennessee on August 8. Both card will be Fight Nights and air on Fox Sports 1.

The San Diego show will take place at the Valley View Casino Center, the same venue that UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones defeated Vladimir Matyushenko in back in August 2010.

The Nashville show is scheduled to take place at the Bridgestone Arena, the home of the NHL's Nashville Predators. The last time the Octagon visited Music City was in 2012, when Jim Miller and Melvin Guillard headlined a show on FX.
