This is episode 125 of the Promotional Malpractice Live Chat.
What else is there to talk about but the recent rash of fighters testing positive for all manner of drugs, not least of which involve the performance-enhancing type? We already know about Anderson Silva's positive test (and even more troublesome follow-up tests that looked clean as a whistle). Now we have Hector Lombard testing positive for a designer steroid.
The question isn't now isolated to what do we do about one fighter. The bigger problem is how we tackle the problem with solutions that will work. I'll present some ideas that have been circulating in my head. I'm curious to hear if you have any.
We'll also still talk about the fights, namely, UFC Fight Night 60 this Saturday. It's the same day as Valentine's Day, which is an indictment on the UFC's overly aggressive schedule in all sorts of ways. Still, there are some decent scraps on the card.
There are also WSOF and Bellator shows this week we'll touch on as well.
There's a lot going on, so join me today to discuss all of this and more. In terms of today's chat, anything is up for discussion, but I will lead with this and it all kicks off at 1 p.m. ET.
As is customary, I'll post the video window here as the event draws near and I'll answer any questions you may have if you post them in the comments section below. Be sure that you click the 'rec' button for those comments/questions you believe most deserve a response.
Be sure to link this page and use the hash tag #chatwrappers on Twitter or even Facebook when you're watching this to let everyone know you're taking part in this activity of ours.
