Jimi Manuwa was looking to get back into the win column and was scheduled to face Nikita Krylov in a light heavyweight contest at UFC Fight Night 83 in February. Alas, that was not to be, at least not on that fight card. Manuwa has been injured and as a consequence, his bout with Krylov has been canceled. The UFC made the news official on Thursday:

Manuwa, 35, last fought in September at UFC 191 where he suffered a TKO loss at the hands of Anthony Johnson. The bout was halted in the second round and brought Manuwa's record to 15-2. He is 1-2 in his last three UFC bouts.

Krylov, 23, most recently competed at UFC Fight Night 74 in August where he bested Marcos Rogerio de Lima via rear naked choke in the first round. His UFC record stands at 4-2.

UFC Fight Night 83 takes place at the O2 Arena in London, England. It is headlined by a non-title middleweight clash between Anderson Silva and Michael Bisping.
