Francis Ngannou knows how to make a statement.
Facing Luis Henrique at UFC on Fox 17 in his promotional debut, Ngannou unleashed a picture-perfect uppercut that shut out his opponent's lights, sending the Orlando crowd into a frenzy.
The UFC's official Twitter account captured the action: SERIOUS POWER!! Welcome to the UFC @Francis_Ngannou! #UFCOrlando https://t.co/JwCuFd4Gto
— #UFCOrlando (@ufc) December 19, 2015
With the win, Ngannou moves to 6-1 as a professional, finishing all five of his most recent foes (three via knockout and two via submission).
While he's certainly raw as a mixed martial artist, his power is devastating, and his athleticism was apparent in his Octagon debut, making him a prospect to watch in the big boys' division moving forward.
Henrique, meanwhile, snaps a six-fight winning streak and falls to 8-2 (one no-contest) as a professional.
