Bellator's first tentpole event of 2016 is beginning to fill up.
Bellator 149: Shamrock vs. Gracie – set for Feb. 19 at Houston's Toyota Center – recently added a lightweight scrap between Melvin Guillard (32-15-2) and Mike Bronzoulis (18-9-1) to the main card festivities set to air on Spike TV.
Since getting cut from the UFC in 2014, Guillard has posted a 1-2 record in World Series of Fighting (WSOF) and Bellator MMA action, dropping his last two. His Bellator debut against Brandon Girtz at Bellator 141 in August ended via split decision in a fight in which "The Young Assasin" badly fractured his hand.
Similarly, Mike Bronzoulis enters the bout at Bellator 149 in need of a victory. The former Fight Master: Bellator MMA finalist had a three-fight winning streak snapped at Bellator 142, where he lost via submission to Josh Thomson.
In addition to the main event trilogy matchup between Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie, Bellator 149 also features a heavyweight showdown between Kimbo Slice and Dhafir Harris and a featherweight feature bout between Emmanuel Sanchez and Daniel Pineda.
