UFC 194 salaries: Conor McGregor banks $500,000 for knockout of Jose Aldo

As always, it's good to be king. UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor easily topped the disclosed payroll for UFC 194, banking a cool $500,000 for his 13-second knockout of Jose Aldo at Saturday's pay-per-view, according to information released to MMA Fighting by the Nevada Athletic Commission.

After telling the world for nearly a year what he would do against Aldo, McGregor went out and kept his promises, flooring the all-time great with a left hook in the opening stages of the fight. Counting only his disclosed salary and not any post-fight or pay-per-view bonuses, McGregor averaged earnings of more than $38,461 per second for his stunning finish of Aldo.

The former champion Aldo, meanwhile, earned $400,000 in a losing effort.

UFC 194 took place on Dec. 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the night's co-main event, Luke Rockhold ($160,000) upset Chris Weidman ($275,000) with a brutal fourth-round TKO to capture the UFC middleweight title.

In addition to their NAC-reported salaries, McGregor, Rockhold, Weidman, and undercard winner Leonardo Santos all scored $50,000 fight night bonuses for their performances.

A complete list of the UFC 194 salaries can be seen below. As always, these figures do not represent a fighter's total earnings, as certain sponsorship incomes, pay-per-view incomes, or discretionary post-fight bonuses are not publicly disclosed.
