Sarah Kaufman will go from one standout kickboxer to another.

The UFC bantamweight stalwart was supposed to fight Germaine de Randamie at UFC on FOX 17 on Dec. 19 in Orlando. But de Randamie got injured and had to pull out earlier this month. Now, Kaufman will get the debuting Valentina Shevchenko, the UFC announced Friday.

Kaufman (17-3) has been one of the best 135-pound women in the world for years. The former Strikeforce champion is 1-1-1 since coming over to the UFC. In her last fight, the Canadian fell by second-round submission to Alexis Davis. Previously, she had a win over Leslie Smith and no contest with Jessica Eye (after losing a split decision). Kaufman, 30, owns wins over Davis, Miesha Tate, Roxanne Modafferi, Valerie Letourneau, Liz Carmouche and Shayna Baszler.

Shevchenko (9-1) is a multiple time Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion, but she has also been fighting in MMA on and off since 2003. The Russian, who now hails from Peru, has won four straight and was primed to compete for the Legacy FC women's bantamweight title next month. Shevchenko, 27, has only one career MMA loss and it came to Carmouche.

UFC on FOX 17 will be headlined by a lightweight title fight between champion Rafael dos Anjos and Donald Cerrone. In the co-main event, Junior dos Santos takes on Alistair Overeem in a highly anticipated heavyweight bout.
