The UFC has announced the first bouts for its return to London on Feb. 27.
In the middleweight division, longtime veteran Michael Bisping returns to face Gegard Mousasi, while Makwan Amirkhani takes on Mike Wilkinson in a 145-pound clash. The third fight official features lightweights Rustam Khalibov and Norman Parke.
UFC Fight Night 83 is scheduled to take place at London’s The O2 Arena.
Riding a winning streak for the first time since 2011 following decision wins over Thales Leites and C.B. Dollaway, Bisping (27-7) returns after pulling out of a UFC 193 clash with Robert Whittaker due to injury.
Mousasi (37-6-2), on the other hand, tries to bounce back from the first knockout loss of his career in September, having a two-fight winning streak snapped by Uriah Hall in Japan. Prior to the bout, Mousasi beat Costas Philippou via decision and finished Dan Henderson in 70 seconds.
Amirkhani (12-2) looks to stay unbeaten inside the Octagon after back-to-back first-round stoppages over Angy Ogle and Masio Fullen earlier this year, while England’s Wilkinson (9-1) attempts to go 3-1 in the UFC after scoring wins over Niklas Backstrom and Brendan Loughnane.
In the third bout officially announced for the card, lightweight Khalibov (17-3) has his back against the wall following consecutive losses to Adriano Martins and Ben Henderson as he faces Parke (21-4-1), who holds a 4-2-1 record since beating Colin Fletcher to win the TUF: Smashes crown in 2012.
