Vitor Belfort: I’ve got my eye on Luke Rockhold

Jason Silva-USA TODAY Sports

SAO PAULO -- Vitor Belfort impressed once again, finishing Dan Henderson in the main event of Saturday night’s UFC Fight Night 77 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and he's looking to face another old rival.

Belfort is interested in facing Luke Rockhold, who’s scheduled to take on middleweight champion Chris Weidman on Dec. 12.

"There’s a guy, Luke Rockhold, that keeps talking a lot," Belfort said at the post-fight press conference at the Ibirapuera gymnasium. Belfort also fought Rockhold in 2013, winning via first-round knockout. "He’s talking a lot, he’s a talker. Disrespectful guy. Really good, talented, but… I’ve got my eye on him."

Rockhold reacted on Belfort’s comments on his Twitter account.

Belfort set the record for most knockouts in UFC history (12) after beating Henderson, but isn’t worried about his legacy.

"Legacy is something that you leave for your next generation, not for yourself," he said. "When I fight, when I perform, I don’t try to think about records, I compete because I love. I do this for 20 years, my inspiration and motivation is beyond. It’s not personal. I’m thankful God gave me skills to evolve and get better every day."
