The 24-year-old Brazilian prospect continued his bloody ascent up the UFC bantamweight rankings, scoring a nasty first-round knockout over Anthony Birchak on Saturday night at UFC Fight Night 77. Almeida wobbled Birchak against the cage, then sent him tumbling to the floor with a gorgeous right hand, pushing his perfect MMA record to 20-0.
