Anthony Johnson vows to take Ryan Bader’s soul, eyes ‘fun’ clash with Jon Jones

SAO PAULO -- Anthony Johnson is gunning for another shot at the UFC light heavyweight title, and he plans to make a statement when he meets Ryan Bader inside the Octagon on Jan. 30.

Coming off a big win over Jimi Manuwa, bouncing back to the win column following a loss to current champion Daniel Cormier, "Rumble" promises to put an end to Bader’s winning streak.

"I plan on running through him," Johnson said during a Q&A session before the UFC Fight Night 77 weigh-ins in Sao Paulo, Brazil. "I’ll take his soul."

UFC champion Cormier is expected to put his title on the line against former champion Jon Jones in 2016, and Johnson can’t wait to finally meet "Bones" inside the Octagon.

"I think it’s great that Jon Jones came back," he said. "That’s more competition for the 205 weight class. It would be fun. Somebody is going to sleep in this fight, trust me."

On Thursday, Johnson spoke with the media about his upcoming clash with Bader, Jones' return and much more.
