The first UFC on FOX event of 2016 will be headlined by a consequential light heavyweight showdown.

Anthony "Rumble" Johnson will meet Ryan Bader in the main event of the Jan. 30 card at Newark's Prudential Center. The news was broken on Wednesday's edition of UFC Tonight.

Johnson (20-5) has won 10 of his past 11 fights, with the only loss along the way a submission defeat to Daniel Cormier in a UFC 187 bout to fill the vacant light heavyweight title. "Rumble" rebounded from the loss with a second-round knockout of Jimi Manuwa at UFC 191.

Bader (20-4), meanwhile, is one of the hottest fighters in the UFC. The MMA Lab fighter has won five consecutive fights, the most recent of which was his most significant: Bader decisioned former champion Rashad Evans at UFC 192.

The main event was just one of a slate of bouts announced for the card Wednesday. The rest include Tarec Saffiedine vs. Jake Ellenberger in a matchup of veteran welterweights; Joaquim Silva vs. Olivier Aubin-Mercier and Felipe Olivieri vs. Tony Martin at lightweight; Alexander Yakolev vs. George Sullivan at welterweight.
