Prospects Abubakar Nurmagomedov, Hakeem Dawodu added to WSOF 26

WSOF

Khabib Nurmagomedov's brother will be back in action next month.

Abubakar Nurmagomedov will meet Danny Davis Jr. at World Series of Fighting 26 on Dec. 18 in Las Vegas, sources with knowledge of the fight told MMA Fighting on Monday. Also on the preliminary portion of the card will be a bout between Hakeem Dawodu and Marat Magomedov.

Abubakar Nurmagomedov (10-1) won his WSOF debut against Jorge Moreno in August. The 26-year-old has won two straight and his lone career loss came against current UFC fighter Magomedov Mustafaev. Davis Jr. (11-9) is coming off a loss to Matthew Frincu in September, but the 33-year-old won five in a row before that.

Dawodu (5-0), a top prospect, beat Chuka Willis by second-round TKO back in June. The 24-year-old Canadian star has finished all of his career fights. Magomedov (7-0), a 25-year-old prospect out of Russia, will be making his WSOF debut.

WSOF 26 will be headlined by a featherweight title fight between champion Lance Palmer and Alexandre Almeida. In the co-main event, world champion kickboxer Tyron Spong returns to MMA against Jake Heun. The card will take place at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas.
