UFC Fight Night 78 bonuses: Magny and Gastelum earn $50,000 for Fight of the Night

Welterweight prospects Neil Magny and Kelvin Gastelum earned Fight of the Night bonuses after their back-and-forth-five-round battle at UFC Fight Night 78. Each fighter earned an extra $50,000.

The news was announced by the UFC at the post-fight press conference.

Gastelum (11-2) was the favorite coming into the fight against Magny (17-4). However, that didn't stop Magny from out wrestling and out striking The Ultimate Fighter 17 winner Gastelum. Magny defeated Gastelum via split decision.

Additionally, Andre Fili and Polo Reyes also earned $50,000 bonuses for Performance of the Night.

Cast member of The Ultimate Fighter Latin America 2, Polo Reyes made an impressive UFC debut by knocking out Cesar Arzamendia with a vicious hook.

Fili (15-3), the Team Alpha Male featherweight scored a head-kick followed by a series of punches that dropped the hometown favorite Gabriel Benitez. With this performance, Fili rebounded from a submission loss against Godofredo Pepey at UFC Fight Night 62.
