A featherweight weight bout between Dennis Bermudez and Maximo Blanco has been added to UFC Fight Night 81.
The Boston Herald first reported the bout on Thursday.
Bermudez (14-5), ranked No. 9 in the featherweight division, is currently on a two-fight losing streak. Prior to that, The Ultimate Fighter 14 runner-up was on a seven-fight winning streak that included the likes of Max Holloway, Clay Guida and Jimy Hettes. Bermudez last fought on July at UFC 189 against Jeremy Stephens where he lost via TKO.
Blanco (12-6-1, 1 no-contest) is riding a three-fight wining streak. The 32-year-old Venezuelan fighter last competed against Mike De La Torre on July at the TUF 21 finale. Although Blanco missed weight and competed in a catch-weight bout, he defeated De La Torre via TKO in just 16 seconds of the first round.
UFC Fight Night 81 takes place on Jan. 17, 2016 at TD Garden Arena in Boston, Mass. T.J. Dillashaw is scheduled to defend his bantamweight title against Dominick Cruz in the main event.
