Patricky Freire vs. Derek Anderson rematch set for Bellator 147

Two years after their first battle, Patricky Freire and Derek Anderson are set to clash one more time inside the Bellator cage, learned with sources close to the promotion.

Freire (14-6) and Anderson (12-2, 1 NC) first fought at the Bellator 98 show in 2013, with "Barbaric" coming out victorious via unanimous decision. The lightweights are now set to rematch in the main card of Bellator 147 in San Jose, Calif., on Dec. 4.

Anderson went 2-2 under the Bellator banner after defeating "Pitbull" in 2013, with his wins coming with knockouts over Brandon Girtz and Danny Navarro. Freire, on the other hand, ended a three-fight skid with four wins in his next five bouts, defeating the likes of David Rickels and Saad Awad.

In the preliminary portion of the card, featherweight prospect A.J. McKee (2-0) makes his return to the Bellator cage after scoring first-round finishes in his first professional bouts, facing JT Donaldson (1-0).

Bellator 147 prelims will also feature James Terry (16-8) vs. Mauricio Alonso (10-7), Brandon Hester (2-0) vs. Nick Pica (5-0) and Thomas Diagne (5-4-1) vs. Erick Sanchez (5-2).

Bellator 147 takes place at the San Jose State University Event Center and highlights the return of former Strikeforce lightweight champion Josh Thomson against Pablo Villaseca, while featherweight standouts Georgi Karakhanyan and Daniel Weichel battle in the co-main event.

Main card:
Josh Thomson vs. Pablo Villaseca
Georgi Karakhanyan vs. Daniel Weichel
Patricky Freire vs. Derek Anderson
