Round 1: Women's bantamweight title up for grabs. They don't get much bigger. Herb Dean is the ref. Rousey spurned the glove touch as Holm put her hands out. It's on. They dance, and Holm in no rush to engage. But Ronda comes in and throws. Holm circles. Rousey hunting. Holm connects. Again Rousey rolls forward throwing bombs, but Holm moves away. Oblique kick from Holm. And a nice right hand while rolling away. Holm doing well here early, but Rousey lands there with a right. Now they clinch, and Rousey looking to throw Holm on fence. But first some short shots in close. Rousey takes a kick on the break right to the face. Not sure if it hit flush. Big left hand from Rousey, but Holm casually eats it and rolls out. Holm is moving. Step in left from Holm, and Rousey gets her — and takes her down! Can't keep here there, as Holm pops back up! When she does, Rousey tags her with a punch. Oblique kick from Holm, and that one hurt. And another. Rousey taking those. Rousey moves in and Holm gets out. Holm is making herself very elusive. Straight left from Holm lands! Damn. Rousey is pursuing. Holm again connects, and Rousey eats another one. Eac time she comes in she's getting rocked. Hlm's mouthpiece comes out. Dean gives it to her. Now here is Holm taking down Ronda! What? She gets right back up, but crazy. Rousey is exhausted. Holm is just taking it to Rousey. Wow. MMA Fighting scores R1 for Holm, 10-9.
Round 2: Rousey lost that round. They come out, and she eats a pair of long shots from Holm. Still, Rousey coming in furious. Holm with a side kick right to Rousey's chops. Rousey comes in with a shot and Holm moves out of the way, leaving Rousey to tumble to the ground. Crazy. Oh my god! It's over! Holm is the new champ! It was Holm the whole way. She tossed Rousey to the ground, and when Rousey stood hit her with a high kick. That was it. It was academic from there.
