Alex Caceres vs. Masio Fullen added to UFC on FOX 18

David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

A bout between Alex Caceres and Masio Fullen has been added to UFC on FOX 18.

Although no weight class was originally announced, UFC officials confirmed with MMA Fighting that the bout will take place in the featherweight division.

Caceres (10-8-1NC) will be moving up a weight class to meet the 28-year-old Mexican fighter. Caceres finds himself in a must win situation as he’s currently on a three-fight losing streak inside the octagon.  Prior to that, Caceres was on a five-fight wining streak and was ranked No. 11 in the UFC’s bantamweight division. Caceres last competed at UFC Fight Night 68 in June where he lost via knockout to Francisco Rivera.

A member of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America, Fullen (10-5), is coming off a submission loss to Makwan Amirkhani back at UFC Fight Night 69 in June. Prior to that, Fullen had made a successful UFC debut where he defeated fellow TUF: Latin America competitor Alex Torres via split decision.

UFC on FOX 18 will take place on Jan. 30 in Newark, N.J. A light heavyweight bout between Ryan Bader and Anthony Johnson is set to headline the event.
