At 41 years of age, Mark Hunt still has to power to topple giants.
The "Super Samoan" got back into the win column Saturday night at UFC 193, winning his rematch with Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva via knockout at 3:41 of the opening round.
After an early feeling-out process, Hunt gave a preview of what was to come with a solid left-right combo. Moments later, he connected with the big right, which dropped Silva to the mat. The bout was called off soon thereafter as Hunt swarmed Silva.
Hunt (11-10-1) snapped a two-fight win streak, scored his eighth career knockout, and settled matters after the two fought to a legendary draw in 2013.
"It was pretty satisfying," Hunt said.
Silva (19-8-1) has lost three of his past four and has been knocked out in four of his past six.
