After an early feeling-out process, Hunt gave a preview of what was to come with a solid left-right combo. Moments later, he connected with the big right, which dropped Silva to the mat. The bout was called off soon thereafter as Hunt swarmed Silva.
Hunt (11-10-1) snapped a two-fight win streak, scored his eighth career knockout, and settled matters after the two fought to a legendary draw in 2013.
"It was pretty satisfying," Hunt said.
Silva (19-8-1) has lost three of his past four and has been knocked out in four of his past six.
