Cain Velasquez has a new management team.

MMAFighting.com's Ariel Helwani reported on Wednesday's edition of UFC Tonight that the two-time former UFC heavyweight champion has signed with prominent Beverly Hills firm Creative Artists Agency.

While CAA is best known for representing Hollywood stars, it also works with athletes, including mixed martial artists Georges St-Pierre and T.J. Dillashaw.

Velasquez's previous firm, Zinkin Entertainment, has deep-rooted ties to Velasquez's gym, the American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, Calif. Although Velasquez's move is one that has the potential to cause strife, AKA's head coach, Javier Mendez, said there will be no problems with the gym's management and business will proceed as usual.

Velasquez last fought in June, when he lost the title to Fabricio Werdum in Mexico City. The rematch between the two was originally targeted for a stadium show in Brazil, but is now being considered as the headliner for the Super Bowl weekend card in Las Vegas.
