Bellator MMA recently finalized the lineup for its Nov. 6 event, Bellator 145: Vengeance, with the addition of seven preliminary bouts.
Taking place at St. Louis' Scottrade Center, the event boasts two world title fights at the top of the card and a strong cast of supporting matchups.
In the main event, featherweight champion Patricio "Pitbull" Freire (24-2) will look to defend his title against challenger Daniel Straus (23-6, 1 no-contest). This marks the third time these two fighters will meet inside the cage, with Freire taking both of the prior encounters. Most recently, Freire submitted Straus via fourth-round rear-naked choke at Bellator 132.
Gold will also be on the line in the lightweight division, where 155-pound champ Will Brooks (16-1) defends his strap against submission ace Marcin Held (21-3). Since capturing the vacant Bellator lightweight title with a TKO victory over Michael Chandler at Bellator 131, Brooks has notched one title defense, a unanimous decision over Dave Jansen at Bellator 136.
Held, meanwhile, has won his last six fights under the Bellator banner, scoring one knockout, four submissions and one decision during that stretch.
Among the recently added preliminary bouts is a heavyweight tilt between Alex Huddleston (6-1) and Augusto Sakai (8-0). These heavyweight sluggers are each coming off stoppage victories at Bellator 139 and have won a combined 13 straight.
