This is the Promotional Malpractice Live Chat.
In news as unsurprising as it was surprising, UFC bantamweight champ T.J. Dillashaw formally decided to leave Team Alpha Male for a new team in Colorado. He's still training with Duane Ludwig as well, although the team he's joining is distinct from Ludwig's services. The move is surprising only in its gravity, but seems a long-time coming (which makes predictions of its occurring not very rare). Dillashaw seems to have realized there are other ways for him to maximize his abilities and financially provide for himself by leaving, which itself seems like the right way to conduct business. Still, that doesn't mean he's now facing questions of loyalty. We'll break down his decision and what it means for the parties involved.
We're also still just a few days past UFC 192, an event that could define the legacies of Daniel Cormier and Alexander Gustafsson for some time to come. It's also one that couldn't escape the reach and influence of Jon Jones.
There's no major MMA event this weekend (thank you, Jesus!), but Ronda Rousey was on The Tonight Show last night, Rampage Jackson's future in MMA is uncertain and more.
