Alexander Gustafsson is paying the price for his war of attrition with Daniel Cormier.
Gustafsson, who dropped a split decision to Cormier in UFC 192's main event and was hospitalized Saturday, could be sidelined until April 2016 for unspecified injuries, according to information released Monday by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Gustafsson may be allowed to come back sooner if cleared by a doctor.
UFC 192 took place on Oct. 3 at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX. The event's main card aired live on pay-per-view.
Also joining Gustfasson atop the medical suspension list were Yair Rodriguez and Shawn Jordan, both of whom were suspended indefinitely due to unspecified injuries sustained during their respective bouts.
