This is the UFC 192 undercard blog for the UFC 192 event at the Toyota Center in Houston on Saturday night.
There will be seven fights on the UFC 192 undercard. Yair Rodriguez vs. Dan Hooker, Alan Jouban vs. Albert Tumenov, Adriano Martins vs. Islam Makhachev, Rose Namajunas vs. Angela Hill, Francisco Trevino vs. Sage Northcutt, Chris Cariaso vs. Sergio Pettis, and Derrick Lewis vs. Viktor Pesta will be featured.

Derrick Lewis vs. Viktor Pesta
Round 1: Here we go, y'all. First fight of UFC 192 is underway. Kerry Hatley is our referee. Tentative start from both men. Lewis dives inside and takes the fight to the fence. Pesta reverses then dumps Lewis to the mat, landing in side control. Bad spot already for Lewis. Lewis stays patient then explodes to his feet. Wild scramble and Pesta ends up in top control, working from half guard. Pesta advances into side control then goes knee on belly. Lewis again explodes to his feet. Pesta ties Lewis up against the fence, then changes levels and gets the takedown. Lewis stands, but Pesta is still locked onto his back. Smothering round from Pesta. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Pesta.
Round 2: Lewis needs to make some adjustments. One-two from Lewis out of the gate. Pesta dives low for a double. He can't get it, but he drives Lewis to the fence then turns the corner, landing in half guard. Lewis shrimps to regain his guard. Lewis looks helpless down here. Hatley finally gets bored and stands the fighters up. Pesta instantly closes the distance and dumps Lewis onto his back. Lewis scoots to the fence and tries to stand. He does so successfully, but Pesta isn't giving an inch. Lewis finally breaks free. Pesta lunges for a desperation single leg. He can't get it and Lewis swarms with punches! Pesta looks exhausted. Lewis throws him to the mat and uploads with hammerfists. Huge swing in momentum to close the round. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Lewis. (19-19 overall.)
Round 3: Lewis opens with a leg kick. Pesta looks like he's got nothing left. Pesta tries to shoot for a double but it's easily stopped. Lewis ends up on top in the scramble, then steps over into mount and goes to town with hard punches. Pesta is done. Huge shots here from Lewis. And Hatley has seen enough.

Chris Cariaso vs. Sergio Pettis
Round 1: Joe Solis is our third man in the cage. Pettis comes out bouncing. Pettis catches a body kick then immediately dumps Cariaso onto his back. Pettis goes to work inside Cariaso's guard. Cariaso scoots to the fence then stands. They release to the center of the Octagon. Pettis sticks his jab in Cariaso's face. Cariaso answers with a hard outside leg kick. Body kick from Cariaso. And another. Pettis lands a step-in knee to the gut. Cariaso continues to work low kicks. Huge right hand drops Cariaso! Pettis swarms with a barrage of punches, then dives into Cariaso's half guard. Pettis stands and unleashes a few more punches. Big left hand cracks Cariaso at the horn. Good round for Lil' Pettis. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Pettis.
Round 2: Pettis elects to stay on the outside, pawing out right hands. Cariaso closes the distance only to get tripped hard to the floor. Pettis passes into half guard, but can't get much more than that. Solis stands 'em up. Pettis wades forward then catches Cariaso with a right head kick. Pettis blocks a high kick then answers by going low. Pettis plants his forehead into Cariaso's chest and drives him to the canvas. Side control for Pettis. Cariaso attacks the legs but can't get anything to stick. Pettis stands, then divebombs a right hand into Cariaso's chin. Impressive showing thus far from Pettis. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Pettis. Round 3: Pettis catches a body kick in the first exchange and throws Cariaso to the canvas. Pettis dives for a guillotine in the ensuing scramble. He can't secure it, and Cariaso settles into top position. Cariaso stands. Oh, big upkick from Pettis! Cariaso immediately dives into top position and goes to work with short right hands. The action stalls as Cariaso settles on laying inside Pettis' guard. Cariaso finally stands then dives onto a heel hook! Good lord, this might have a chance! Nope. Pettis adjusts and survives to the horn. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Cariaso. (29-28 Pettis.)

Francisco Trevino vs. Sage Northcutt
Round 1: Nineteen years old and already in the UFC. Let's see if Sage Northcutt can live up to the hype! Herb Dean is our referee. They touch 'em up and we're off. Front leg side kick to the jaw from Northcutt. Trevino slips throwing a hook kick and Northcutt swarms with punches! Oh, man. Northcutt is just letting 'em go. The youngster changes levels and dumps Trevino to the canvas, then continues unloading from side control. Huge elbows! This is over, y'all. Wow. What a debut. Trevino isn't happy with the stoppage but it looked fair to me. He shoves Herb Dean! Yeah, that was a bad idea. Have a feeling he'll be hearing about that one later.

Rose Namajunas vs. Angela Hill
Round 1: The ladies kick off the FS1 portion of the card. Joe Solis is the referee in the charge. Namajunas wades inside with a combination. Hill clinches, but gets cracked with a few more looping shots before Namajunas breaks free. Hill pops a jab in Namajunas's face. Namajunas paws out her jab. Hill answers with a hard outside leg kick. Namajunas changes levels and bulls Hill to the mat. Half guard for Namajunas. Hill rolls and works to her feet, but Namajunas jumps onto a rear-naked choke! This might be it! Hill is trying to grit this one out but that choke is in tight. Welp, she goes to sleep. What a performance from Rose Namajunas.

Adriano Martins vs. Islam Makhachev
Round 1: Hell of an undercard so far. Lightweights up next. Frank Collazo is the third man in the cage. Both men come out southpaw. Makhachev wades inside and lands a body kick. Nice left hand lands over the top for Makhachev. Makhachev throwing haymakers right now. Martin flurries and catches his foe with a right. WOW! Insane right hook from Martins just floors Makhachev! He's out! My goodness. What a knockout.

Alan Jouban vs. Albert Tumenov
Round 1: Frank Collazo is back in action for this one. Jouban immediately closes the distance and gets tossed by Tumenov. Well, then. Back to the center of the Octagon. Tumenov connects hard with a left uppercut. Jouban eats a head kick, then answers by popping out his jab. Big head kick briefly drops Jouban! And Jouban kicks Tumenov square in the family jewels. He gets a warning for that one. We're back, and Tumenov snaps a right hand into Jouban's chin. Tumenov crushes Jouban with a head kick! Tumenov pounces with punches! Hard right hand slips through Jouban's guard, followed by a left. And he's absolutely gone. Wow. Insane finish there.

Yair Rodriguez vs. Dan Hooker
Round 1: Last fight of the prelims up next. Kerry Hatley is the third man in the cage. Been looking forward to seeing Rodriguez back in the cage. Rodriguez smacks Hooker with an oblique kick. Hooker moving a lot but not doing much else. This crowd is getting restless. Rodriguez nearly lands a tornado kick. And a wheel kick. And another one. This kid is something else. Hooker rushes inside and drives Rodriguez into the fence. Huge trip from Rodriguez straight into mount! Hooker escapes then stands and clinches. Nasty knee to the body from Rodriguez. Hooker rebuffs a trip attempt then releases to the center of the cage. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Rodriguez.
Round 2: Nice step-in trip from Rodriguez but Hooker scrambles to his feet. Hooker lunges inside and connects with a straight right. Hooker traps Rodriguez against the fence. Rodriguez pulls guard and attacks the legs of Hooker. Hooker defends but Rodriguez scrambles up before his foe can settle in top position. Rodriguez blocks a head kick. Big looping right from Rodriguez! And a high kick! Rodriguez circles then tosses out a few side kicks to Hooker's midsection. Rodriguez catches Hooker with a glancing right. Left kick to the body from Rodriguez. Rodriguez drives forward and nearly throws Hooker to the floor. Hooker storms forward and muscles Rodriguez into the fence. Oh, nice spinning back kick to the body from Rodriguez off the release. Perfect blast double finishes off the round for Rodriguez. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Rodriguez. (20-18 Rodriguez.)
Round 3: Rodriguez misses a spinning wheel kick. Dang, Hooker cracked Rodriguez in the groin. That looked bad. Okay, we're back. Hooker stalking but Rodriguez catches him with a nice uppercut. Hooker continues to scramble and Rodriguez dives for a leglock. Hooker escapes and settles into top position. Rodriguez slices Hooker open across his brow with a nasty elbow. Rodriguez unloads with elbows while Hooker works from half guard. Rodriguez traps Hooker's right arm and they start trading punches on the ground. That was wild. Rodriguez is tricky from the bottom, man. The crowd isn't digging it very much though. Hatley finally stands them up. And Hooker's face is a bloody mess. The doctor cleans him up and we're back. Hooker pushes forward and they engage. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Rodriguez. (30-27 Rodriguez.)
