Brandon Girtz is back after his upset victory over Melvin Guillard.
A rematch between Girtz and Derek Campos is targeted for Bellator 146 on Nov. 20 at WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Okla., sources with knowledge of the situation told MMA Fighting. Bellator officials also confirmed the bout Thursday.
Girtz (13-4) played spoiler when he defeated UFC veteran Guillard in the main event of Bellator 141 in August. The Grudge Training Center product has now won two in a row in Bellator and has a chance here to stake his claim as a lightweight title contender. Girtz, 30, fell to Campos by unanimous decision in 2013.
Campos (15-5) has lost two of three, albeit against top Bellator 155-pounders Michael Chandler and Patricky Freire. Campos, a Texas native, lost to Chandler at Bellator 138 in June. Overall, the 27-year-old is 4-2 during this current run with Bellator.
Bellator 146 is headlined by a middleweight bout between sluggers Hisaki Kato and Melvin Manhoef. Also on the card, prospect Bubba Jenkins takes on Jordan Parsons.
