It's been quiet for a while, but things are beginning to heat back up. The UFC returns to Dublin on Saturday with UFC Fight Night 76. The event has a lot of filler on it to appeal to European audiences, but the top of the card is a sensational lightweight fight between Dustin Poirier and Joe Duffy that carries major implications.

Before that, however, there's Bellator 144. The card doesn't have much to write home about, but it does feature the return of Brandon Halsey and Michael Page.

In other news, three fighters - Nick Newell, Rick Hawn and Soa Palelei - all retired this week. Their reasons are slightly different, but are there any common themes among them?

Lastly, John Nash of Bloody Elbow put together a first-rate analysis of UFC's revenue by year with a lot of information that heretofore has been out of reach. His conclusion? Less than 14 percent of revenue goes to the fighters.
