The UFC's trip to Brazil next month is getting a slight alteration.
Tom Lawlor is out with an injury and Corey Anderson will replace him in a light heavyweight fight against Fabio Maldonado at UFC Fight Night: Belfort vs. Henderson 3 on Nov. 7 in Sao Paulo, the UFC announced Tuesday.
Anderson (6-1) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Jan Blachowicz at UFC 191 in September. Before that, he lost his first career bout to Gian Villante via third-round TKO at UFC on FOX 15 in April. Anderson, 26, was The Ultimate Fighter 19 205-pound winner.
Maldonado (22-8) has lost two of three with his most recent defeat coming via unanimous decision against Quinton Jackson at UFC 186 in April. The Sao Paulo native remains a popular light heavyweight with a high workrate and propensity for getting into brawls. Maldonado, 35, trains out of American Top Team.
UFC Fight Night 77 is headlined by a trilogy bout between legends Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson. In the co-main event, light heavyweight contenders Glover Teixeira and Patrick Cummins will face off.
