World Series of Fighting (WSOF) will end 2015 with a party.

According to a press release, the promotion's Dec. 18 event, WSOF 26, marks the return of featherweight champion Lance "The Party" Palmer and noted striker Tyrone Spong. The event will take place at The Chelsea inside The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

Winner of three straight--all via submission--Palmer brings a distinguished Division-I wrestling pedigree to the cage, using his dominant takedowns and ground control to frustrate and smother his opponents. Training at Team Alpha Male, Palmer represents the cream of the crop outside the UFC at 145 pounds.

Palmer is expected to face the winner of Saturday's WSOF 24 matchup between Saul Almeida and Alexandre Almeida.

Meanwhile, the high-octane kickboxer Spong will face Jake Heun (8-4). At 2-0 in professional MMA action, Spong boasts significantly less experience than Heun, and this matchup will serve as a measuring stick for just where the striking sensation stands in the world of MMA.

"We are looking forward to making our debut at one of the finest venues in the fight capital of the world and to another historic night of MMA action with the return of both Tyrone Spong, one of the sport's hottest commodities, and Lance Palmer, a prolific world champion," said WSOF President Ray Sefo.
