The UFC's banner month continues as we transition out of UFC on FOX 14 and into UFC 183, a pay-per-view event that features a main event between Anderson Silva and Nick Diaz. This bout has been labeled as everything between a superfight and a tune-up fight (for Silva). Strangely, it feels as delightfully saccharine as it is legitimate: the winner could get a title shot in either weight class. This is an anticipated main event, but a bizarre one, too.
The entire UFC 183 fight card isn't bad with a decent women's bantamweight bout, important welterweight co-main event and more.
We are also still still dealing with the fallout from Anthony Johnson's quick win over Alexander Gustafsson at UFC on FOX 14 from Saturday (which includes the great ratings), Conor McGregor vs. Jose Aldo may not take place until the summer, and much more is taking place today in the sport of mixed martial arts.
