Another lightweight bout has been set for Rio de Janeiro’s UFC 179. The promotion officially added a 155-pound clash between Yan Cabral and Naoyuki Kotani to the pay-per-view card on Oct. 25.

Cabral (11-1) will drop to 155 pounds in his attempt to get back on track after suffering his first professional loss to Zak Cummings in a 170-pound bout in May. Prior to the loss, the Nova Uniao fighter defeated the likes to Kazushi Sakuraba and David Mitchell to build a perfect 10-0 record with nine submissions victories.

In his second run under the UFC banner, Kotani (33-11-7) still attempts to win his first bout inside the Octaogn. The Japanese veteran, who went 0-2 in the UFC against Thiago Tavares and Dennis Siver in 2007, takes on Cabral after suffering a second-round TKO loss to Norman Parke in July.

UFC 179 takes place at the Maracanazinho gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and features the anticipated rematch between Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes for the featherweight title.

Jose Aldo vs. Chad Mendes
Glover Teixeira vs. Phil Davis
Scott Jorgensen vs. Wilson Reis
Fabio Maldonado vs. Hans Stringer
Alan Patrick vs. Beneil Dariush
Felipe Arantes vs. Andre Fili
William Macario vs. Neil Magny
Fabricio Camoes vs. Josh Shockley
Yan Cabral vs. Naoyuki Kotani
