Neil Magny vs. William Macario, Fabricio Camoes vs. Josh Shockley official for UFC 179

Neil Magny will try to go 5 for 5 in 2014 in Rio de Janeiro.

The welterweight prospect, who won four bouts from February to August, is scheduled to return to the Octagon against The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 2 finalist William Macario at UFC 179 on Oct. 25. The UFC announced the match-up Wednesday.

After suffering back-to-back losses to Sergio Moraes and Seth Baczynski in 2013, Magny (12-3) scored consecutive victories over Gasan Umalatov, Tim Means, Rodrigo de Lima and Alex Garcia this year.

Macario (7-1) looks for his second win under the UFC banner after an exciting unanimous decision win over Bobby Volker at UFC 168. "Patolino" was scheduled to face Magny at UFC Fight Night 40 in May, but was forced out of the card with an injury.

UFC also officially announced a new lightweight bout to the card, as Rio de Janeiro’s Fabricio Camoes takes on Josh Shockley.

Camoes (14-8-1) desperately needs a win after back-to-back losses to Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller. Forced out of a planned bout with Gray Maynard due to visa issues earlier this year, "Morango" hasn’t won a fight since a first-round submission over Tommy Hayden on Jan. 20, 2012.

Coming off a first-round loss to Jason Sagoo in his Octagon debut June, Shockley (11-3-1) attempts to win his first bout since a unanimous decision win over WEC veteran Micah Miller in 2013. Shockley went 2-2 under the Bellator banner from 2011-2012.

UFC 179 takes place at the Maracanazinho gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and is headlined by Jose Aldo vs. Chad Mendes for the featherweight title.
