UFC’s return to Australia is not official yet, but it has its first bout already.
Sydney’s own Anthony Perosh will be making his return to the Octagon against Brazilian striker Guto Inocente, who returns to the light heavyweight following his UFC debut as a heavyweight. Inocente confirmed the news to MMAFighting.com.
UFC Fight Night 55 is expected to take place in Sydney, Australia, on Nov. 8, but the fight card has yet to be officially announced by the promotion. On the same day, UFC Fight Night 56 takes place in Uberlandia, Brazil.
Perosh (14-8) will attempt to get back on track after suffering a one-sided decision loss to Ryan Bader at UFN 33 in Brisbane, Australia. Prior to that loss, "The Hippo" scored a 14-second knockout over Vinny Magalhaes in Brazil.
Inocente (6-3) looks for his first UFC win after coming up short against Derrick Lewis in July. The former Shooto Brazil champion, who was sidelined for two years due to several injuries, hasn’t won since a unanimous decision victory over Virgil Zwicker in Strikeforce.
