UFC Fight Night 46 live blog: Conor McGregor vs. Diego Brandao

This is the UFC Fight Night 46 live blog for Conor McGregor vs. Diego Brandao, a featherweight bout at Saturday's UFC event at the 02 Arena in Dublin, Ireland.

McGregor, who is 2-0 in the UFC, will face Brandao, who has won three of his past five UFC fights, in the main event.

Round 1: Leon Roberts is the referee. McGregor opens southpaw and with a turning side kick. He blocks two head kicks from Brandao. The Brazilian forces the clinch and presses McGregor into the fence, but is reversed. Now they're jockeying for position. Brandao attempts a trip, but is reversed midair. McGregor stands out, but as he comes back in avoids several weak leg lock attempts from Brandao. McGregor is stacking him now, but then moves into Brandao's butterfly guard. Brandao shoves him off and they stand, but eats a left hook for his efforts. Body shots lands for Brandao, but McGregor is having success up top. A left hook drops Brandao and he slumps along the cage. McGregor follows up and unloads a series of right hands to Brandao who was just covering up. The referee stops the fight when Brandao doesn't react.
