UFC Fight Night 40 salaries: Matt Brown lands $82,000 payday for victory over Erick Silva

Welterweight headliner Matt Brown led the disclosed payroll for UFC Fight Night 40, taking home a $82,000 salary for his electric victory over Erick Silva in Cincinnati, OH, according to information released by the Ohio Athletic Commission.

Brown fought back from early danger to seize a violent third-round TKO stoppage over Silva in the night's main event. The Brazilian earned $22,000 in the losing effort, which marked his third setback over his last five appearances.

Preliminary card headliner Ed Herman topped the rest of the card in regards to salary, as the former TUF 3 finalist pocketed $80,000 for his unanimous decision victory over Rafael Natal ($26,000).

UFC Fight Night 40 took place May 10, 2014 at Cincinnati's U.S. Bank Arena. As always, the entire UFC Fight Night 40 payroll can be seen below, although these figures do not represent a fighter's total earnings, as sponsorship money and discretionary post-fight bonuses are not publicly disclosed.

Additionally, Brown (x2), Silva, and Johnny Eduardo earned $50,000 post-fight bonuses for their work.
