For a third time, Chael Sonnen vs. Wanderlei Silva has been pushed back to a later date, as the grudge match between TUF Brazil 3 coaches will now serve as the co-main event of UFC 175.
Yahoo Sports first reported the news, which was subsequently confirmed by UFC officials.
Sonnen vs. Silva was initially scheduled to serve as the co-main event of UFC 173. The fight was then moved back one week to become the main event of the UFC Fight Night card in Sao Paulo, Brazil on May 31, 2014.
Left without a featured attraction, Sao Paulo's UFC Fight Night card will now be headlined by Junior dos Santos vs. Stipe Miocic -- a heavyweight bout which had previously been the co-main event of UFC 173.
According to White, further changes are expected to affect the card of UFC 173, which takes place May 24, 2014 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV.
UFC 173 is currently highlighted by a bantamweight championship match between Renan Barao and T.J. Dillashaw, plus a welterweight tilt pitting Robbie Lawler against Jake Ellenberger.
