Round 1: The referee in charge of the action is Jorge Alonso. Both fighters open orthodox. Right away several right hands hurt Cerrone and he's in on a takedown against the fence, but Barboza stuffs it. Good push kick and left hook from Barboza. Hard outside leg kick from Barboza. Both fighters trade hooks. Outside leg kick from Cerrone. Two crashing right hands connect for Barboza in the pocket and a spinning back kick. Somehow Cerrone is still pressing forward. Somewhere out of nowhere, a hard jab from Cerrone drops Barboza. Cerrone seizes the opportunity and pounces, takes Barboza's back and submits him with a rear naked choke.
